Police arrest 60-year-old man for defiling 9-year-old girl in Anambra

Police in Anambra State have arrested a 60-year-old man for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old girl in Nkwelle Ezunaka, near Onitsha.

It is unfortunate that in this 21st century, many parents in Nigeria use religion and tribe to prevent their children from achieving happiness. It is indeed a sad situation that in this 2013; young people are forced to circumvent parental wishes, tribe and religious affiliation to find a life partner.

Our staff reporter has found that unfortunately, this is the situation that two young lovers, Oluwaseyi Olawale  Bameke, who hails from Ake in Ogun State and a Christian and Bukola Morire Oyelekan who hails from Ekiti State and a Muslim have found themselves.

Sources close to the couple has informed our reporter that, the father of Bukola, Alhaji Gbenga Oyelekan, who is influential in the local Mosque and also a retired Commissioner of Police, has vowed not to allow this union between Oluwaseyi and Bukola, except Oluwaseyi converts to the Muslim religion.

Tribnunepoints Weekly News Publication has gathered from our source who has remained anonimous for reason of reprisal from the Commissioner of Police that Bukola and Oluwaseyi are deeply in love and that Bukola is Pregnant with the couples first child.

Our reporter has also gathered that the pregnancy of Bukola, who is a second year student at Crwon Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti has particularly angered the Alhaji, who has continued to harass and send thugs to intimidate Oluwaseyi.

Our source also informed Tribunepoints Weekly News Publication that on at least two different occasions, in the early hours of Sunday, June 7, 2013 and Sunday, July 7, 2013, respectively, these thugs from the Alhaji have gone to the venue where Oluwaseyi was performing to distruipt his show.  Tribunepoints Weekly News Publication gathered that the most recent incident happened at Adekazi Event Centre, Bode thomas street, surulere, Lagos.  the eye witness  told our reporter that the men went straight to the stage to attack the group. where Oluwaseyi and his band members were performing. the group escaped unhurt. these men destroyed musical equipment. no one else was hurt.

When our reporter contacted Mr. Oluwaseyi Olawale Bameke he confirmed the incidents and expressed sadness that he is not able to perform as his band members are scared for their lives. he told our reporter that it costs him a fortune to replace damaged instruments each time they are destroyed.

All attempts to get the Alhaji or anyone close to the Oyelekan’s family to comment have not been successful.
