The House of Assembly Representatives election held yesterday April 12th, 2011. During the election a political conflict broke out claiming lives and properties after which Temitope Olatoye Sugar the candidate under the Accord party was declared winner of the Oyo state house of Assembly election over PDP party candidate.

According to the updates gathered from reliable sources; Hon. Adeyinka Adeniyi, a party member of the Accord Party and vice chairman of the party who according is an active member of the party and a witness to the whole scenario vis-a-vis. Speaking to Tribunepoints weekly news correspondent Segun Oni said, the election was a very tough one while ongoing which then led to a serious riot outburst between both political parties. The Accord Party and the People Democratic Party (PDP) that was there had serious battle confrontation after the election result was announced to the favour of Temitope Olaoye Sugar as declared the winner of the April 2011, House of Assembly election.

According to source Hon. Adeyinka Adeniyi said from the election venue the Accord party was in disarray such that they were attacked by hoodlums suspected to be working for the PDP party which eventually attacked everyone present; causing havoc, making lots of damages to properties and lives, killing and burning tyres everywhere. He told Tribunepoints weekly news that all their active members have all fled into hiding as he speaks because their lives are at stake presently.
